Berry Compliance is a set of regulations that requires the Department of Defense (DoD) to produce textile items in the U.S. that use domestically fabricated materials. Designed to both support domestic production as well as ensure the quality and safety of DoD items, the Berry Amendment applies not just to fabrication and sewing occurring in the U.S. It goes down to the thread — the actual manufacturing of the raw materials in the U.S.
